EDUCATION FOR ALL
HAITI NEEDS YOU
Approximately 80% of the Haitian population is illiterate and future generations will continue to suffer the same problem if we do not act fast. A joint study by the Ministé Edikasyon Nasyonal ak Fómasyon Pwofesyonèl (MENFP) and UNICEF concluded that over 500,000 children aged between 6 and 18 do not attend school in Haiti, and that close to one million are at risk of dropping out.
Haiti needs an urgent Strategic Plan for Education and Literacy to ensure that in a few years, all Haitians are guaranteed the right to know how to read and write. We are asking you for help in tackling this ambitious project.
